We are developing CritCase, a training app for anaesthesia and emergency care: interactive patient cases, drug-dose calculation and quizzes. Made for nurse anaesthetists, students and other clinicians who want to stay sharp. Built by a nurse anaesthetist, for Norwegian practice.

Here are examples of the features we are developing for Norwegian anaesthesia and emergency practice. Content and design may change before launch.
Drug calculation
Calculate until it sticks.
Bolus, infusion, dilution and paediatric doses. The same kind of problems as on the drug-calculation exam, with the answer and the working shown for every question.
Interactive cases
Your choices change the vitals.
Branching cases from anaesthesia and emergency medicine: from induction and maintenance to the events that can't wait. You see the consequence on the monitor, not just in an answer key.
Quiz and mock exam
A timed practice session in CritCase's own format.
True/false, multiple choice and clinical scenarios. Mock exam with a time limit, an internal practice target and domain scores. The target is not an external exam pass mark. "Practise your misses" collects everything you have answered wrong.

Duel and leaderboard
Challenge a colleague on the same quiz.
Share a code, answer the same questions, see who did best. Optional leaderboard with a nickname. Your progress is stored on the device. Sign in and it is backed up to your account.
Who's behind it
Being developed by a nurse anaesthetist.
CritCase is being developed by a Norwegian nurse anaesthetist who has stood in the situations the app trains you for. The app is designed for practice and reflection alongside teaching and supervised clinical training.
CritCase is a learning and practice tool, not a clinical reference. Always follow local procedures and prescriptions in real patient care.
Public launch
CritCase is in development.
CritCase is being developed for Android and iPhone. The app is not yet available to download, and no launch date has been set. We will update this page with information and links to the App Store and Google Play when the app is ready.
